UN Women
UN Women is a United Nations body that focuses its efforts on achieving gender equality and empowering women. UN Women, a body that protects the rights of women and girls, was created to accelerate progress around the world to meet their needs.
UN Women supports UN Member States in setting global standards to achieve gender equality and works with government agencies and civil society to develop laws, strategies, programs, and services to ensure effective compliance with these standards in order to significantly improve the situation of women and girls in the whole world. UN Women carries out global work towards the implementation of the strategic goal of Sustainable Development Goals for women and girls advocates for the equal participation of women in all aspects of life, focusing on four strategic priorities:
- Ensuring leadership, participation and equal use of opportunities of public administration systems
- Ensuring guaranteed income, decent work and еconomic independence of women
- Ensuring the protection of all women and girls from all forms of violence
- Ensuring contribution and greater influence of women and girls in the processes of building sustainable peace and resilience, аs well as the use on an equal basis of opportunities for the prevention of natural disasters and conflicts and humanitarian activities
