In the suffocating cell of the Luhansk pre-trial detention center with a rusty table and chairs welded to the floor, and later, when she, convicted of espionage against the so-called LPR, would be taken by guards in black masks to be exchanged as a prisoner, Anastasia Volodymyrivna remembered the incident on the bus that changed her life dramatically. This happened in 2015, when the war was still raging.
Sad journey
THEN pensioner Anastasia Volodymyrivna Mukhina was returning to the occupation from Novyi Aidar in the Luhansk region, where she was staying with relatives. The bus shook violently on the road, which had been battered by heavy military equipment during the year of war. However, this did not interfere with her memories. Here, in Novyi Aidar, she was born, near the Aidar River, probably more picturesque than Siverskyi Donets, her childhood passed.
