Participation of SEMA Ukraine representatives in the annual 67th session of the UN Commission on Gender Equality

On March, 8, 2023 the annual 67th session of the UN Commission on Gender Equality, dedicated to the empowerment of all women and girls in the context of technology and innovation, was held in New York at UN Headquarters. The session was attended by representatives of SEMA Ukraine
Iryna Dovhan and Liudmyla Huseinova.
Here is what Olha Herasymiuk, Head of the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting, wrote on Facebook:
"My special admiration goes to those former captives of the russists who were able to overcome their tragedy and came to the UN today, stood in front of delegates from all over the world, and testified to the crimes of the russists. Military sexual violence is a barbaric weapon of the Russians to commit genocide. To testify about these crimes is a punishing sword over Russia! To get them is to convince the victims not to remain victims, but to choose dignity in the fight against the perpetrators, to come out and testify! Iryna Dovhan said in her speech: "I turned my tragedy into the power of growth!" They call the names of those who are still in the dungeons, and urge us not to stop rescuing ourselves from captivity and tragedy..."
